Peer instruction is an activating teaching method that encourages students to think, act and discuss in class. It was originally used in science lessons, but is now also used in other areas. The method is based on well-formulated questions and its main aim is to stimulate thinking and solve practical problems arising from the understanding of basic concepts. In the peer instruction method, great importance is also attached to the questions themselves, as they can really stimulate thinking and possible debate and discussion. The main aim of the article is to introduce the essence of the peer instruction method and to highlight the experiences from workshops that have been conducted to learn and promote the method. It also looks at the process of preparing and conducting the workshops and analyses the opinions and suggestions of the participating teachers. The Peer Instruction workshops offered participants the opportunity to learn more about the method, try it out and learn how to use it.
